Here are some tips from Leorah and Lindsey on how to start planning for your big day:
Q. Wedding planning feels so stressful. Where should I start?
A. Leorah: We understand that planning a wedding can be very overwhelming, so that's why we are here to guide you through the process and help alleviate any unnecessary stress.
First, we’ll set up an initial consultation so that we can learn about your plans and ideas. Hopefully we can meet in person to show you our gorgeous event spaces and how they may fit into your vision. Then we will create a proposal that includes all of the details of your dream wedding, including discounted room block for your overnight guests. Then, we’ll sign an agreement to secure your date! From there, we continue to work closely with you so that on your wedding day, you can focus on marrying the person you love with complete trust that the details will fall into place with ease.
Q. What’s your favorite part of being in Cherry Creek?
A. Lindsey: The restaurants! Cherry Creek North has so much to offer, including amazing dining, shopping and salons. It’s such a great part of Denver because it offers all the benefits of an urban center, without the traffic, noise and disturbances of downtown - plus it has easy access to the outdoor activities that we love. It’s a great, central location for a wedding, and a destination out-of-town guests really enjoy!
For wedding planning purposes, Cherry Creek North is an ideal neighborhood because it is home to everything from bridal shops and tuxedo rentals to hair salons and spas for wedding day prep and relaxation. You will never want to leave Cherry Creek!
Q. What does the JW Marriott Denver provide for weddings?
A. Leorah: Just about everything! Our packages include room rental, with all the tables, china and silverware you’ll need, specialty linen of your choice, dinner, 4 hours of open bar, champagne toast, wine served with dinner, the wedding cake, a discounted room block for your guests, 2 complimentary nights at the hotel for you and your honey, a 1st anniversary gift, and more! What’s especially great about the JW Marriott Denver Wedding packages is that they’re designed to be customizable. For example, if you’d rather stick with our house linens, no problem. If you’d like to offer a cash bar instead of an open bar, we can easily remove the full bar from your package as well. We also have a number of upgrade options available. We will work together to create the package that best fits your event.
Q. How much does it all cost?
A. Leorah: Depending on time of day, our packages range from $45/person for a Brunch wedding to $145 for a Plated Dinner. There is a service charge of 24%, which includes all setup and teardown fees as well as gratuity for our staff.
Q. What’s not included?
A. Lindsey: There are only three main elements of your reception you will need to arrange outside of our package: Photographer, Floral, and Entertainment. We take care of the rest! And we have an amazing referral list of some of the top wedding vendors in Denver, so that you can be confident that you have the BEST team of pros working together on your special day.
A. How’s the food?
A. Lindsey: One of the things that I’m most proud of about our events is the superior quality of our food. The Executive Chef from our award-winning Second Home oversees all of the food for each JW Marriott Denver wedding and we take great pride in preparing innovative, fun menus for you and your guests to enjoy.
